Healing Didn’t Make Me Softer. It Made Me More Honest.

I used to think healing meant becoming calm, always kind, never triggered. But the real growth came when I let myself be real — not just peaceful.

At first, I thought healing would look like calm mornings and clean routines.
Yoga. Green smoothies. Always knowing the right thing to say. Always being the “bigger person.”

But that version of healing?
Was just another mask I was wearing.
I wasn’t healing.
I was performing peace.

Here’s What I Didn’t Expect:

Healing didn’t just soften me.
It stripped me bare.

It made me speak up when I used to stay quiet.
It made me walk away from people who “meant well” but hurt me anyway.
It made me confront my own shadows — the anger, the jealousy, the guilt I used to bury under smiles.

The Real Turning Point?

When I stopped trying to be good — and started trying to be true.

That meant having hard conversations.
Setting boundaries.
Saying “I’m not okay” without apologizing for it.
Letting my no be no. Letting my yes be full.

It meant being misunderstood sometimes.
It meant not always being liked.
It meant disappointing people who were used to me people-pleasing.
And strangely that’s when I felt most free.

Healing Isn't Just Love & Light
Real healing gets messy.
It’s not always “high vibe.”
Sometimes it’s grief, rage, shame, silence.

But underneath all of that?

There’s clarity. There’s courage. There’s you — unfiltered, grounded, present.

So If You’re in the Middle of It...

If your healing feels like losing people, burning bridges, or becoming more sensitive than ever — you’re probably doing it right.
You’re not becoming broken.
You’re just becoming real.

And that’s the version of you the world actually needs.

If this resonated with you, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
